Welcome to the InkTrap website. This week we’ll start the academic activities —online, of course!
During this year we’ll have many challenges. Starting with “how to start classes without knowing anyone in person”, and “not knowing if we’re ever going to meet in-person”.
So activities are planned to be held strictly online. During this semester —according to the course syllabus— we’ll start with:
- General writing and typography history (classifications, terminology, anatomy,…)
- Drawing and calligraphy workshops (Foundational hand, SLOType with Catarina Silva & Eduardo Napoleão, Brush Lettering & Copperplate Calligraphy with Sílvia Tapia)
- Introduction to Variable Fonts (keyword)
And we’ll finish the semester with the production of a complete text typeface.
